Spectra are looking for talented and creative set builders or landscapers to work on Abundance, a sustainable art installation on the grounds of Birmingham City Hospital. You will be working with mostly reclaimed materials to build a variety of structures and create interactive features. The builds will not be ‘ordinary’ so you should have good problem solving skills and be full of creative, practical solutions. Suitable experience would include building festival sites or decorations for festivals, work as a landscape gardener, or on art/museum or playground installations. Good carpentry skills and ability to work with a range of natural materials is essential. Certification through the Construction Skills Certification Scheme or similar is preferred.
The build will take place over three weeks between 6th June – 25th June 2022. Earlier input into planning will be via a Zoom meeting during w/c 23 May.
Fees dependent on experience and the scope of work.
This employment is on a self employed basis and you will be responsible for your own tax and NI along with providing appropriate PLI.
