Geeking Out On Governance: Inclusive Governance Network
GOOG (Geeking Out on Governance) is Spectra’s multi-year project exploring how governance in the arts can be reimagined through learning disabled and neurodivergent (LDND)-led practice, moving beyond inclusion within existing systems towards structures designed by and for LDND people.
The GOOG Inclusive Governance Network brings together a small group of values-aligned organisations, practitioners and thinkers to support, challenge and strengthen this work jointly. The network is a space for honest exchange, shared problem-solving and collective learning, rooted in care, trust and mutual respect. The network meets online to reflect on emerging practice, test ideas and contribute their own learning, helping to ensure that the work is rigorous, relevant and connected across different parts of the sector.
Together, we share learning, shape new governance approaches and connect to a growing peer network committed to building more inclusive and caring cultural systems.

Do I have to have my camera on?
We want you to feel able to show up exactly as you are. Cameras can be on or off; you are welcome to join from wherever is most comfortable for you.
Can I bring a support worker?
Support workers are very welcome to attend alongside you.
Are the meetings accessible?
We are committed to making the session as accessible and welcoming as possible. Please let us know if you require any access support for the meeting, and we will do our best to provide this. This could include things such as captions, BSL interpretation, breaks, materials in advance, alternative formats or anything else that would support your participation.
Will I be paid to attend the Network?
For freelancers: we are offering a £75 participation fee for attending network sessions.
For salaried participants: we kindly ask that attendance takes place within your salaried role where possible. However, if participation falls outside of this capacity and this presents a barrier to attending, please contact us separately, and we can discuss this further.
